The Heidelberg-Mannheim Friends Meeting is part of German Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers). More information about Quaker faith and practice can be found (in German) here.
Our monthly meeting consists of about 20 members and attenders living in the Rhein-Neckar area and beyoond. We meet about two times a month for an unprogrammed silent meeting.
Meetings for worship are generally at 11:00 a.m. on the second and fourth Sundays of each month. At 10:30 you are welcome to share tea or coffee. The Silent Meeting lasts an hour, then is time for worship sharing and after that for conversation.
If not otherwise indicated, Meeting takes place in the youth room of St. Albert’s Church.
Directions to the youth room of St. Albert Church: St. Albert Church, Bergheimerstrasse 108 in Heidelberg-Bergheim is located at the entrance to Heidelberg at the intersection of Bergheimerstrasse and Mittermaierstraße in Heidelberg-Bergheim. There are parking places in the vicinity of the church. Immediately behind the church walk left through the gate and down the short set of stairs to the youth room of the church.
The bus and streetcar stop is ‚Betriebshof‘ and is directly in front of the church.
Only a five minute walk from the Heidelberg train station! From the train station walk north (with the Print Media Academy horse to your right) three blocks. Just past the St. Albert’s church turn left into the Vangerowstrasse. Immediately behind the church walk left through the gate and down the short set of stairs to the youth room of the church.
If not differently indicated, Meeting takes place in the youth room of St. Albert’s Church and starts at 11:00 a.m.
